Physicians and other clinical staff have increasing responsibility for hospice compliance in areas of high CMS scrutiny and in influencing ratings on new tools for public comparison of hospices. This session will review critical areas currently under review CMS and other policymakers, analyze tools used to present findings to hospices and the patients they serve, and provide clear direction for meeting responsibilities to enhance hospice performance.

1. Implement 4 strategies for hospice staff to use in promoting regulatory compliance in areas of high CMS and auditor scrutiny
2. Read, interpret, and apply findings of the Hospice Pepper Report for individual organizations
