Hospices have the responsibility of providing care according to the rules set forth by CMS Conditions of Participation, state specific regulations, and accreditation standards, to name a few. Added to that, the commitment to quality patient care. Now joining the game…public reporting. The list keeps growing.

To survive in this changing game of healthcare, hospices must play by the rules, be prepared to address issues that arise, and plan a winning strategy. But how do you prepare and effectively plan if you don't know how to identify priorities? This session will assist hospice agencies in discussing, identifying, and addressing performance improvement priorities, to ensure and enhance quality care.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss the Medicare Conditions of Participation regarding the QAPI process, and the impact of public reporting
2. Identify routine elements to monitor and evaluate current agency results
3. Establish priorities for performance improvement
