Healthcare is changing rapidly.  From shifts towards reimbursement based on quality and outcomes to a greater emphasis on seamless transitions of care from venue to venue, there is no doubt that the ways in which healthcare is provided will continue to change dramatically and fundamentally in the coming years.  In ways, Palliative Care is  perfectly positioned to assist healthcare systems and providers in the delivery of care in this new paradigm.  This session will explore how Palliative Care can be of benefit in these rapidly changing times and will suggest methods to help you make the case for support of your Palliative Care program.  Challenges to garnering buy-in will also be discussed, as well as specific strategies to overcome these potential barriers.
