Learning Objectives:
1. Define the concept and meaning of core values
2. Identify the role of core values in the IDT and impact on the functioning of the IDT
3. Understand how different hospice professionals define the most significant hospice core values
The presentation will follow-up on information shared at the 2010 Clinical Team Conference on core values of hospice professionals and their impact on the functioning of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Information shared will be based on a follow-up research study that evaluated the definition of the five most significant core values to hospice professionals. These findings will build on the role that core values play in the IDT and how they impact the functioning of the IDT.
