Learning Objectives:
1. Identify mothers and fetuses/newborns who will benefit from perinatal palliative care services
2. Identify organizational resources to describe current and ideal processes as well as barriers to achieving ideal processes
3. Develop plans for communication, care coordination, documentation, quality improvement, and implementation for ideal perinatal palliative care services
This presentation will help community providers utilize organizational resources to provide excellent perinatal palliative care. Participants will learn to identify organizational stakeholders, mothers and fetuses appropriate for perinatal palliative care, describe their current and ideal patient flow and develop plans for communication, care coordination, documentation, and quality improvement. Participants will be guided to develop family educational materials and education plans for healthcare providers to provide a seamless continuum of care for families across settings.
