Learning Objectives:
1. Review three theories of grief
2. Demonstrate awareness of how clinical interventions support grief theories
3. Practice a minimum of three interventions within the context of presented grief theories
This interactive session will incorporate didactic teaching of basic grief theories with the opportunity for participants to experience hands-on practice with the clinical interventions supporting those theories. Presenters will review three grief theories: Worden’s Tasks of Mourning, Stroebe and Schut’s Dual Processing of Coping and Neimeyer’s Meaning Making. Participants will experience a variety of clinical interventions, including the use of expressive arts.
