  • Abstract:  This session offers bereavement professionals an opportunity to build awareness, sensitivity and skills in adjusting to feeling the absence and presence of loved ones after a loved one’s death.  Participants will be able to identify and utilize healing, transformational metaphors that are potentially part of all grieving experiences and will discuss strategies for using metaphors in ongoing bereavement care.
