1. Describe the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach to ethics consults
2. Identify the benefits of family input for team discussion
3. Review the process of using the four box model and medical ethics consults
This workshop will provide background on what prompts a medical ethics consult and describe the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach.  In addition, faculty will describe the four box model and discuss how it equates with the principles of beneficence, nonmaleficence, autonomy and justice. The workshop will include interactive case presentations with small group breakouts.
