This session will introduce participants to the animal hospice movement which has been growing for the past 15 years, largely driven by positive human hospice experience. It will explain the animal hospice history, explore the challenges of developing hospice protocol for animals and discuss ways to deepen colloboration between animal and human hospice programs that is mutually benefical in a culture of need and economic uncertainity.
