Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss the many opportunities available to hospices for growth within the care continuum
2. Describe the concepts behind diagnostic specific programming as well as the ability to apply those ideas to their own healthcare system
3. Apply the ideas of purposeful program development to create innovation and expand into new markets
As hospices strive to find their place at the table of healthcare reform, innovative and effective program development is needed to continue to move ahead.  Diagnostic specific programming – hospice care specialized to meet the needs of certain diagnostic groups – has been successful in reaching new markets and expanding the influence of hospice.  This session will explore this, along with other creative projects, aimed at growth and redefining hospice for the future.
