Many studies show there is a huge gap in the number of minority ethnic groups who use end-of-life care services and engage in advance care planning. There are many programs, organizations and state governmental agencies with outreach materials and information that miss the mark in reaching these groups.  For baby boomers of color, it will "take a village" to change the lack of diversity and outreach as it relates to planning for care at the end of life. This presentation will touch on the various programs and suggest ideas to help address these issues.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss what a “diverse” family/community looks like for baby boomers
2. Describe examples of diverse communities and their cultural beliefs, i.e. African American, Asian American, Latino American, Native American and LGBT
3. Discuss ways to rethink how we reach these communities in a way that speaks to them
