As you are likely aware, the population of our country is shifting and the spectrum of values and beliefs continues to expand. As part of that awareness, we must learn how to blend those needs into the care of those we serve. This session will take a look at the importance of blending culture into our delivery of services. It will offer ideas on how to identify and/or address the cultural barriers that may have a “presence” in hospice, and explore the benefits of establishing cultural community networks to enhance service delivery and quality comfort care.
