Have you ever gotten that sinking feeling after reviewing the chart of a patient admitted to your hospice and thought “how did this patient get admitted?” Getting the hospice admission process right from the start of care is vital to avoiding future denials, but many hospices struggle with defining who owns the admission decision.  This lack of clarity and a fear of admitting patients who are not hospice eligible has impacted the growth of hospices everywhere.  This session will help hospices identify pitfalls in the admission processes and provide best practices to implement for ensuring the admission of eligible patients.
