The impact of unmitigated risk in any industry is great and the hospice industry is not immune. Through a proper corporate governance structure, sustainability can be achieved. However, sustainability does not occur without effort and a structured program of enterprise risk management (ERM). This session will cover governance, sustainability and their relationships to ERM. Presenters will outline the hallmarks of an ERM program, discuss the evolution of ERM in hospice organizations, address the challenges in implementing ERM, and outline keys to a successful, sustainable ERM program.
