Preparing learners to develop sound relational attitudes and skills in Hospice and Palliative Medicine can be extremely challenging, as it requires a much different approach than many other fields. The Maxims of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is a teaching tool that helps create a heuristic to guide learners as they navigate the complex interactions inherent in Hospice and Palliative Medicine practice.
