This preconference seminar will cover the development and implementation of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP). Starting in July 2014, hospices will be required to submit the Hospice Item Set (HIS) for each patient admission. The presentation will focus on the development of the HIS, the quality measures that can be calculated from the data on the HIS and steps hospices should be taking now to prepare for the July 2014 start of reporting requirements. Managers, leaders and all providers will increase their understanding of quality reporting and how to ensure their programs are poised for success in July by participating in this session.
