1. Identify key barriers to developing strong relationships with nursing facilities
2. Describe ways managers and leaders can assess their organizations’ relationships with nursing facilities
3. Outline key solutions to take their relationships with nursing facilities to the next level
The provision of hospice care in nursing facility settings has its own unique set of regulatory standards and operational challenges.  Often the lack of understanding of applicable regulations, policies and procedures, as well as the perceptions of nursing home and hospice staff, limit the ability of hospices and nursing facilities to focus on developing a mutually-beneficial partnership.  This preconference seminar will describe the experience of hospices that have undertaken a comprehensive assessment of their relationships with nursing facilities and the  solutions they have implemented to take relationships to a new level.  If you are a leader charged with overseeing hospice care in nursing home settings, this important seminar will be very helpful to you.
