The future of Chaplaincy/Spiritual Care holds significant opportunities to develop and embrace innovative strategies for measuring productivity of spiritual caregivers that aid in the improvement of patient satisfaction; increase visibility and effectiveness; identify and eliminate wasteful practices and assists leaders to gain a more comprehensive grasp of spiritual care services chaplains provide. This session will highlight best practices in evidence based spiritual care. With an emphasis on interdisciplinary team process and productivity, it is crucial that measurable areas of the spiritual care discipline be identified and utilized as evaluative tools for spiritual care staffing models, industry standards, education and the provision of spiritual care to patients and their loved ones.
