Participants will address ethical issues that arise both in the delivery of hospice care to patients and families as well as in hospice management. Beginning with an overview of ethical principles, this seminar will identify ethical elements in managerial dilemmas. Participants will engage in an "ethics laboratory," focusing on cases and issue resolution. This module is required for completion of Level I of the Hospice MDP.

1. Identify the process for isolating an ethical dilemma
2. Describe two common ethical issues in end-of-life care
3. Identify general principles and standards of ethics
