Whether inspired or overwhelmed by the current rate of change in US Healthcare, one thing is clear: the way in which we provide care in the United States is changing and changing dramatically. Many of the proposed changes to healthcare have had the unmistakable ring of familiarity to those of us lucky enough to call hospice our professional home. This session will explore how we can support our colleagues throughout the healthcare system and in doing so, help them to help our mutual patients and cement hospice's role in healthcare's future.
Learning Objectives:
1. List 3 key elements of healthcare reform that underscore and validate the hospice model of care
2. List 3 specific paradigm shifts in the way healthcare will be paid for when provided by our community partners
3. List 3 opportunities for greater partnerships these paradigm shifts afford us
