Most strategic plans are neither strategic nor do they include actual plans to drive change and position your organization for the future. Many organizations have abandoned strategic plans altogether. Those that haven’t go through the motions of strategic planning, using them solely as a way to ensure that board members and staff buy-in to the leader’s vision for the future. Transform your strategic planning process into a strategic thinking process that utilizes adaptive thinking and then implement the Golden Circle principle to empower staff to adopt the strategy and make it their own.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe a new paradigm for strategic planning
2. Utilize adaptive thinking, experience diagramming and other techniques to think fast-track innovation
3. Motivate staff to adopt the organization’s strategy and make it their own
