There is a difference between having a compliance program and having an effective compliance program. This session will present an overview of the high-risk hospice compliance areas and how to ensure your compliance program is effective at mitigating the risks. The greatest risk to any hospice organization is not knowing your true risk exposure and/or not knowing how to effectively mitigate the risks.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the high-risk compliance areas for hospice organizations
2. Discuss what a hospice should be doing to mitigate their risk exposure
3. Compare and contrast the characteristics of a conventional compliance program with an innovative, effective compliance program
