Building Partnerships in Research, Academics and Hospice and Palliative Care

Many hospice and palliative care organizations have relationships with area colleges and universities. These activities may involve preceptorships, clinical experiences, offering lectures, and/or serving as a research site. This session will discuss innovative ways of structuring, prioritizing and maintaining these relationships for the mutual benefit of all involved. Attendees are encouraged to come and share their experiences with creative partnerships.


Learning Objectives:
1. Identify types of academic, research and organizational relationships with hospice and palliative care
2. Discuss strategies for initiating and/or revisiting/revitalizing these types of relationships
3. Describe the risks and benefits of such partnerships
