This session is jam packed with information all palliative care programs need to know.  Medicare keeps expanding payable benefits: 2015 brought us chronic care management and this year the program is paying for advance care planning.  Palliative care programs have struggled with PQRS, some facing payment penalties, and this is compounded this year by a continued march to paying for value and quality with the Value Modifier about to hit Part B programs of all sizes.  Faculty will take you through the main points of all of this so you are better prepared to seize opportunity and avoid negative financial outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the types of providers who can provide advance care planning services under the Medicare program
2. Discuss CMS’s goals for paying for quality and value and how that can impact every palliative care program
3. List the PQRS measures that can be applicable to palliative care
