The hospice executive leader-hospice physician relationship is vital and critical to a highly functioning hospice. For instance, all of us know that one of the key success drivers for hospice is the effectiveness of the relationship between the CEO and CMO, yet there has been little training or education on this important topic. In this session, you will learn the characteristics of great leaders, the key elements of leading transformations, how negotiation needs to be a way of life, and the beautiful art of conflict management. All of these will be discussed within the context of the hospice executive leader-hospice physician relationship but will be applicable to all hospice managers and leaders. Whether your hospice is large or small, for-profit or non-profit, this is a must-attend session for every executive, leader, manager, and physician in hospice.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe why the hospice executive-physician relationship is so critical to a highly functioning hospice
2. Define great leadership and the key elements of successfully leading a transformation
3. Describe the skills of negotiation and conflict management and why they should become a way of life
