The Hospice Aide plays an important role in the care of the hospice patient.  As part of the education we provide them we teach and review how to care for the patient, caring for their physical needs.  There is another part of the care of the patient is understanding the anatomy and the physiology of the diseases that affect the hospice patient.  Hospice Aides act as the eyes and ears of the hospice team when they are present providing personal care and can share more information when they better understand what is occurring.
