1. Analyze the fear of death as it relates to our society
2. Identify signs of approaching death from disease
3. Understand that a process relates to dying from disease vs. dying by happenstance
This presentation is intended to offer guidelines for determining a terminal prognosis based on signs of approaching death vs. diagnosis. It is intended to offer a different perspective than the medical model. Professionals can glean ideas and methods of addressing this difficult, threatening subject with their patients or clients.
