Nearly every significant accomplishment between hospice and patients comes from the cooperation, positive energy and learning that result from a real team effort. Without careful attention, however, teams can sometimes drift into a pattern of wasteful meetings, conflicts, hidden agendas, poor listening and mutual distrust. This session will introduce a positive, collaborative and innovative process called “Appreciative Inquiry” (AI), which provides a way for teams to engage in conversations that result in high performance teamwork. Using the AI model, specific strategies and resources will be provided to help you build a dynamic interdisciplinary team that reflects enhanced communication, clarity of roles and responsibilities, energy and spirit, productivity and relationships.
