Perinatal Hospice: Connecting the Heart, Life and Spirit with the Perinatal Diagnosis

2. Describe the unique roles of the hospice team in caring for infants and their families beginning in pregnancy
3. Identify ways to collaborate and provide coordination of care with other care providers and community agencies
Technological advances have allowed for an unborn child's life limiting conditions to now be diagnosed in pregnancy allowing hospice services to begin at the time of diagnosis. This presentation serves to outline specific interventions to be utilized by the hospice team from the time of diagnosis, through the life of the baby and on the journey of grief.
