    Straight Talk:  Dollars and Sense

   ( Valuing the Softer Disciplines)

A seasoned hospice and healthcare executive who is also a social worker by profession will provide a candid perspective on  the “softer” disciplines of bereavement/pastoral care, social work and ancillary therapies.  Practical guidance will be offered for evaluating the costs, benefits and expectations for each.  As budgets tighten and regulatory demands increase, it will be necessary to have a clear understanding of how these disciplines can add value beyond their regulatory requirements.
