1. Define leadership in the hospice setting
2. Identify the importance of a mentor and how a mentor can influence growth
3. Associate how motivation and experience help formulate leadership style
This session will focus on a motivational journey from hospice social work student to middle manager in a large hospice setting. Leadership development, skill enhancement, mentoring, and professional development will be discussed. Faculty also will examine how to move from novice to leader and discuss how motivation and experience help formulate leadership style.
