1. Describe the benefits of life review/reminiscence interventions
2. Identify individuals that could ideally benefit from life review/reminiscence interventions
3. Identify barriers to utilizing life review/reminiscence interventions in hospice social work practice
In this workshop, faculty will discuss the benefits of life review/reminiscence interventions with seriously ill individuals and their families. In addition, from the results of a national survey of hospice and palliative care social workers, information on the extent that social workers engage in life review/reminiscence interventions as well as the potential need and barriers to utilizing these interventions in daily practice will be presented.
