Live discharges – only in hospice do these two words together make sense. But do you really understand the regulations and the implications of live discharges? This session addresses regulatory requirements and the implications of live discharges under the Medicare Hospice Benefit.  Hospice regulations specify when a hospice may discharge a patient and specific regulations address the patient’s choice to revoke the hospice benefit or transfer to another hospice provider.  CMS continues to look at live discharges and is gathering data surrounding them. This session will help improve your hospice’s regulatory competency related to live discharges.
