This session will identify critical competencies needed in orientation of staff, discuss methods of orienting new staff to their roles and responsibilities and describe methods of accountability. Key components of orientation including agency/organizational requirements, Joint Commission requirements, learning objectives/competencies, utilization of competencies for evaluation and competency validation tools will be discussed.
