Learning Objectives:
1. Identify practices that are considered fraudulent under the law
2. Identify practices that may compromise business ethics even though considered legal
3. Provide suggestions for changing practice when considered prone to ethical or legal conflict
This session will describe the ethical dilemmas hospice leaders face in competitive environments. It will examine practicies that may be common but questionable, and practices that are considered "at risk for fraud and abuse." In addition, faculty will provide methods of confronting practices that may be legal but do not follow legal intent and are not in the best interest of patients and families.
