1. List at least four hospice performance measures tested in the IPRO project
2. Identify three ways that a hospice can prepare for public reporting on hospice performance
3. Describe three challenges that test sites had with data gathering and reporting on test measures

In 2009, CMS contracted with IPRO, the New York Quality Improvement Organization, to work with seven hospices in New York state in testing hospice performance measures. The project concluded in November 2010. This session will provide a summary of the project, lessons learned and how hospice performance measurement and quality reporting will be structured by CMS in the future.
