Area of Emphasis: Access, Community Engagement and Marketing
Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss the need for contracting with providers such as PACE and HMOs to provide quality end-of-life care services
2. Define approaches to collaborative relationships
3. Define structure opportunities for collaborative relationships
We are challenged as never before to make the best use of every available resource in providing quality, end-of-life care. That challenge extends to areas where hospice may not be provided. To realize new efficiencies, manage costs, expand coverage and access, it is essential to form new and stronger relationships with other types of service providers. This win-win approach will produce outcomes that are mutually beneficial to all providers and the communities in our care.
