Although it is widely recognized that self-care is necessary to prevent compassion fatigue it is frequently neglected by health care workers.  This workshop will describe our service’s innovative efforts to develop a culture of self-care not as a benevolent management effort from the top down but a leadership initiative from the bottom up.
