Patients in assisted living facilities present a unique challenge for hospice providers and often have difficulty obtaining adequate end-of-life care.  The “Aging in Place” philosophy seen in assisted living facilities is a growing trend in the United States.  This session will describe the evolution of a collaboration with a number of assisted living facilities. Faculty will review the common challenges and resistance seen when providing hospice in assisted living facilities and discuss strategies for overcoming them.
