Shared Care is an innovative team management model for patient care. In an inpatient setting, the key to its success is identifying engaged employee leaders, and promoting optimal interdisciplinary communication using teambuilding and conflict resolution techniques.  The model promotes leadership practices especially by non-nurse employees all in the interest of providing optimal patient care.
