3. Outline the steps taken to achieve growth
In late 2007, the Development Department designed and implemented the Shining Star program. The original goals were to provide a mechanism for patients/families to acknowledge staff with a unique recognition, to promote business ethics in gift giving/receiving, to identify new donors and to generate revenue. The program has achieved all of those goals, and the engagement of the employees has far exceeded all expectations. This presentation will review the changes and the program’s evolution to an employee-centered initiative, resulting in the Shining Star program becoming an important part of the organization’s culture.
