Given the current regulatory environment and time consuming tasks required of hospice medical directors and physicians, is it more cost efficient to hire a full time medical director even in small hospice programs? What does a typical 40-hour workweek look like for the full time medical director? This session will evaluate the pros and cons of hiring a full-time medical director and explore tasks associated with the position. Salary and compensation issues as well as a return on investment analysis will lead owners and hiring managers to better decision making when considering adding a full-time medical director to the hospice management team.
