1. Restate the current required performance measures and timeline for hospice quality reporting plus the quality reporting requirements
2. Describe data collection strategies that will support fulfillment of quality reporting requirements
3. Create an action plan for successful quality reporting for your hospice
Starting in 2013, hospices must report on quality measures determined by CMS or incur a 2% reduction in their market basket update.  This session will review information on the tasks hospices must accomplish to prepare for and fulfill current quality reporting requirements, including all aspects of implementation of mandatory performance measures.  The session will also include information on implementation and use of the Hospice Item Set (HIS) tool for data collection of the required data elements for the measures and discussion of what lies ahead for quality reporting as well.
