Hospices throughout the country are feeling the pressure from reduced reimbursement and added regulations.  In some instances, hospices are relying on donations to not only pay for unfunded programs and services, but to support clinical operations as well.  Hospice development departments and foundations, regardless of their size, must have balanced programs with the focus of moving donors up the donor pyramid.  Reaching the top requires specific strategies around communication, resources, education and engagement.
