Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) has a significant impact on survey readiness, demonstration of quality to the public and referral sources and the hospice’s bottom line due to the financial implications of an incomplete or ineffective QAPI program.  Hospice leaders and managers are challenged to incorporate all of the regulatory requirements, identifying the best way to utilize available data for QAPI program management and have a positive impact on outcomes. This interactive session will guide participants through the regulatory requirements of a comprehensive QAPI program-focusing on the unique challenges hospice agencies face and the importance of effectively utilizing key data to monitor and manage their agency-wide QAPI programs. Faculty will outline strategies to implement an efficient, data driven program that assists hospice leaders and managers in successfully focusing on QAPI priorities.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the regulatory requirements for QAPI programs to ensure survey readiness/compliance for hospice leadership
2. Identify the components of a comprehensive QAPI program including key performance indicators to be utilized by hospice leadership
3. Discuss examples that demonstrate successful integration of key performance indicators into a comprehensive QAPI program
