International West (Washington Hilton) - Concourse Level
Faculty:
Andrew Reed, CPA/System, Analyst, Multi-View Incorporated Systems, Hendersonville, NC
This session will explore the use of Visit Structures by clinical disciplines involving specific steps for each phase of the visit as well as the creation and utilization of synthetic training labs to effectively and efficiently teach such structures/practices. This will include the elimination of “scripts,” the utilization of cues (IRMs) to increase predictability, the use of technology in the lab to eliminate documentation issues at the point of service and how all of this makes the act of performing a Hospice visit vastly EASIER for clinicians to do 100% of the Standards for every patient, every time!

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the difference between a Visit Structure and clinical skills.
2. Explain the use of specific, organization-wide practices (visit elements)
3. Discuss how hospices have constructed and utilized synthetic training labs
