With increasing changes and demands being placed upon agencies and employees, team morale and performance often suffer as an already emotionally taxing profession becomes even more stressful. Managers and leaders often indicate that team morale, burnout, and compassion fatigue are issues of tremendous concern for their teams, while expressing a sense of helplessness in knowing how to respond. Resilience and compassion satisfaction can be woven into the DNA of an organization so that team members can work together to maintain a supportive and productive atmosphere. This session will explore practical strategies for promoting healthier, happier and more effective teams.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the contributing factors to compassion fatigue
2. Apply prevention and intervention techniques to decrease the risk and impact of compassion fatigue
3. Develop practical strategies to implement immediately with their teams to improve compassion satisfaction and team morale
