This session will enable a hospice’s management or clinical team to outline a plan to objectively evaluate and manage their pharmacy costs. Faculty will provide the hospice team with an impartial overview of the key pillars which will serve as the foundation for any hospice looking to control pharmacy costs.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the four key pillars that contribute to pharmacy costs
2. Identify mitigation strategies for examples of elevated costs within each of the four pillars
3. Discuss the balance between medication relatedness and ongoing refills
