This presentation provide participants with updated information on many of the major changes to the federal fraud and abuse laws, new enrollment requirements and mandatory compliance requirements that were enacted as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. These changes include mandatory reporting of identified overpayments, changes to the federal anti-kickback statute and false claims acts, mandatory compliance plans, mandatory new and re-enrollment enrollment screening and background checks, suspension of payments where the are credible allegations of fraud and new exclusion authorities.
