Volunteers are active participants in the provision of hospice care.  In addition, ethics are an important aspect of the provision of hospice care. However, are hospice volunteers actively involved in and aware of the impact their role plays in the ethical provision of hospice care? Addressing this challenge is a key component of the role of volunteer coordinators and hospice leadership. This presentation will explore the issue of ethical hospice care by volunteers and identify ways that volunteer coordinators and hospice leadership can maximize the role of volunteers in ethical hospice care.
